A bustling busy city.The main tourist shopping precincts are alive and enthusiastic for the travellers dollar.But I found a few streets either side of the road well-travelled and there is another side to Athens,tired and sad.Vacant and abandoned buildings projects once begun with optimism now deserted .Graffiti with a sense of purpose,political and angry.
Credit to the proud Greek people who put on the bravest of faces after being dealt such a savage economic blow and muster up that famous Greek hospitality to the hoards of guests arriving at their door.Antiquity offers up its priceless goods and enthralls us all-we are impressed !
